DARE TO PREPARE
A pre permit program for teens and their parents
June 22nd 2009 6:30pm - 8:00pm

AAA Southern New England and the Abington Police Department will present a 90-minute program titled Dare to Prepare at the Abington Police Station located at 215 Central Street on Wednesday, June 22nd from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. This nationally recognized program presents useful information for new drivers from a traffic safety and law enforcement perspective

This 90 minute program focuses on:

The Graduated License Process and JOL Restrictions in Massachusetts.

Statistics and risks common to teen drivers

Practical suggestions to help your teen develop safe drving skills and behaviors.

Dare to Prepare is a 90-minute pre-permit presentation for parents and teens that provides critical information teens need to know before they take the wheel. This presentation walks attendees through the steps necessary to obtain a permit and a driver's license, and offers useful tools to help parents and teens through the learning-to-drive process.

Take home materials, including parent/teen driving contracts are provided. The program is best suited to teens that have not yet begun driver's education or received their driving perfmit. A parnet must accompany thier child.
