Mission of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit:
The Crime Scene Investigation Unit provides various crime scene processing services to
federal, state and county law enforcement agencies.
The primary responsibility of the CSI unit is the documentation, collection and preservation
of evidence.
After evidence is collected, the CSI unit may process the evidence in house or forward
evidence to various laboratories or agencies for further testing.
The CSI unit responds to a large variety of calls ranging from burglaries to homicides.

Additional duties performed by the CSI unit include:
- Fingerprint Identification & classification
- Ballistic Analysis
- Crime Scene Photography
- Locate, examine, process and identify forensic evidence from crime scenes
- Preparing charts and other courtroom presentations
- Photographic/Video Processing
- Photographic Lineups
- Identify and evaluate seized drugs and contraband
