HIGH TECH CRIME INVESTIGATION UNIT

This unit specializes in the investigation, examination and prosecution of crimes committed with the aid of a computer. Our officer assigned to this unit has received specialized training in computer crimes and computer operations to better handle evidence gathering on hard drives. This officer is currently assigned to the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council’s High Tech Crime Unit and works to analyze computers for evidence relating to active criminal cases throughout the Metropolitan Boston area. Our officer has a vast knowledge of Internet related crimes to include child pornography, enticing minors for sexual acts and larcenies. This officer also works to educate the public and specifically parents on the dangers of the Internet and how to better protect their children from dangerous predators.
