Abington
Chief of Police - David G. Majenski
We
are extremely proud of our community and the programs
offered by the Abington Police Department. Some of
the programs offered to residents free of charge include:
the Citizen Police Academy (C.P.A.); the Rape Aggression
Defense (R.A.D.) program; home security surveys; bicycle
registration; Children's Safetys; and train, gun and
bicycle safety programs. Additionally, in the near
future we hope to offer a Student Police Academy (S.P.A.)
to members of Abington High School and to host informational
seminars that instruct parents of the potential dangers
of allowing their children to be unsupervised on the
internet.
We
currently have 28 full time officers, two permanent
Intermittent Officers and 15 Auxiliary Officers. We
truly hope that you enjoy your visit with us.
Our
philosophy is that interactive and proactive policing
along with continuous education for our officers is
the way to maintaining a high quality of life for
all that live, work or pass through this town. Our
main objective is to make the Town of Abington a place
where people would like to reside and raise their
families.
If
you have any question or comments please feel free
to send an email message
directly to, Chief Majenski.
We
truly hope that you enjoy your visit with us.
Sincerely,
David G. Majenski
Chief of Police
